Specification
Our Fire Shutters are constructed to the high standards of our Universal Roller Shutter plus: The roller shutters consist of a flexible curtain constructed from interlocking mild stall slats minimum 0.9mm thick fixed at the top end to a winding barrel using M8 countersunk steel bolts. The curtain has a drop bar of sufficient weight to close the shutter under gravity if released by a fusible link. The barrel is a heavy gauge tubular steel roller to BS 1387 specification. The barrel assembly is hung between two support brackets fixed to the concrete lintel using M12 rawlbolts. The barrel assembly, including the support brackets is protected by a galvanised steel 'C' or channel section. The sides of the curtain run in rolled steel guide channels welded to 6mm thick rolled steel angles. Units can be supplied with a fusible link, which will release the shutter during a fire. The melting point of the link is 72C (162F).
Operation
Mechanical - By endless hand chain through roller chain and machine cut steel gear wheels. Electrical - By 3 way push button control unit clearly marked 'OPEN'-'CLOSE'-'STOP'. Power unit - 1.0 h.p. flange mounted 32rpm geared motor with brake. 220v-240v / 380v-480v 3 phase 50hertzor 240v single phase 50 hertz. The brake can be released to provide manual operation by chain wheel in the event of power failure. The curtain slats are formed from hot dip galvanised slit coil manufactured to BS 2989: 1982: Z2
Performance
Up to 4 hours integrity and stability. All independently fire testedicket door - Size 600mm wide x 1640mm high, opening inward hung to suit.
